So, I'm not the only one to struggle with this! At least that is good news. Thanks, Eric!

Yeah, unfortunately @import (layout.css, typography.css, color.css) and chunking your elements (IE: All typography selectors in a row on a .css document) are the only two main ways I know of.

This is totally the type of input I'm looking for. I started out kinda that way, but it seemed like I was repeating things like 'font-weight: bold' a lot, so I thought I must be doing things wrong.

Thank you for commenting!!

I've heard some people use a CSS master file with @import for individual sections of the stylehseet... But that seems like overkill to me.

I break mine up into Main (for body, img, etc elements), Typography (for, obviously, headings, paragraph, & link stylings), Layout (for the main structure elements & positioning of them on the page), Content (elements within the main structure, navigation, and other specifics) and Misc (for classes and whatever else I need).

Probably not up to your organizational standards, but works OK for me (tends to get long though). I think it really all comes down to finding out how best to organize it in a way that you can make sense of it & find things quickly
